Description: To provide knowledge about natural geo-hazards at Machu Picchu Sanctuary and adjacent territory of National Park on the basis of prolongation of geomorphological, engineering-geological and hydro-geological field investigations, mapping and systematic already ongoing slope movements and ground sinking monitoring. This research will be done in co-operation with Peruvian organizations – INC and INRENA and serve also as a Czech contribution to natural hazards assessment capacity building in Peru. Results will be used by an international body of experts united under UNESCO acknowledged International Consortium on Landslides (ICL) in joined, complex evaluation of geo-hazard and assessment of demands to do appropriate mitigation measures. |
